Although nobody has claimed responsibility for this attack, it is believed to have been carried out by Boko Haram insurgents who have raided the northeastern part of Nigeria, killing over two thousand people since their attacks began over two years ago.
According to The Cable, Hamman Furo, executive secretary of Adamawa state emergency management agency, confirmed that,
“We are currently assessing the situation, and we would be busy for the next one hour.”

“I am currently at the scene and we are helping to evacuate injured to the Hospital, there are many dead bodies all over the place,” he was quoted to have said.
