American Star Declares HIV Status

Hollywood movie star Charlie Sheen has declared that he is HIV positive. He said he tested positive four years ago.

Sheen said: “I’m here to admit that I am in fact HIV positive.” 
The actor claimed that since discovering his status he’s “always led with condoms and honesty”.
In a letter the Two And A Half Men star sent to the TV host, the actor said he is faced with a responsibility to better himself as well as help people around him.
The 50-year-old also said he disclosed his HIV status to the partners he had intercourse with. He also said he didn’t deliberately transmit the virus to anyone he had sex with.
Sheen also disclosed that since learning of being HIV positive, various people had threatened to release information of his status to the media.
There was a report in the past of a prostitute who got a picture of his anti-retroviral drug and intended selling it. Sheen said he faced this and a lot more in forms of threats but hopes that by publicly declaring his status, he would put an end to the betrayals.

“I think I release myself from this prison today,” he said.
There had been rumours in the media in the last few weeks that an American TV star was HIV positive but hadn’t come out publicly to declare his status.
Sheen is has been married thrice. He has five kids and a grandchild. He is known for the movie Wall Street and was the highest paid TV star when he starred on Two and a Half Men, earning as much as $1.8 million per episode. He, however, left the show after starring on it for more than 10 years, when he publicly insulted the producer Chuck Lorre.
Sheen went on to star in Anger Management from 2012 to 2014. In 1998, he overdosed on cocaine and suffered a stroke after which he was hospitalized.
Charlie is the son of popular actor Martin Sheen with whom he starred in Naked Gun 331/3.
