Private Jets Are Not Status Symbols

A private jet is not a celebration of wealth but a means to use time wisely.

On Tuesday, June 6, 2017, Kevin Hart was on the Breakfast Club to promote his new book.
In his interview, Hart spoke about his busy schedule and why he has to use a private jet. He revealed he will spend $50,000 to be with his daughter for one hour and fly out again.
The successful comedian dismissed the notion that a private jet is a luxury. For him, it is a necessity to be able to meet up with all his engagements. A private jet is not for stunting. It's for him to be productive.

Dear Nigerian people, a private jet is not a symbol of success or luxury. It is not a money statement. A private jet is for people who know the value of time and have worked hard enough to afford it.
With the recent happenings in the music industry, it is clear to see how people think a private jet is a luxury. It is not. It is a very expensive investment that only pays dividends when you utilise your time properly.

Prince Jet Charter based in Abuja offers private jet rides from as low as $2,200 per hour to $23,000 per hour.
It is no wonder that it is multi-millionaires and billionaires (in US Dollars and not Naira) that can afford it. I doubt that there is a Nigerian celebrity out there that can afford to rent a private jet for a week.

The Nigerian celebs you see in a private jet are in courtesy of the show promoter. Some celebs (usually big names like PsquareWizkid and Flavour) demand for private jets to be at a show and that's because they are on a tight schedule.

Davido recently hired a private jet on a Saturday because he had to perform in three states on that day. This is what private jets are for and not balling.
Private jets have become a symbol of excessive wealth. This is a wrong perception. A private jet is a tool that should be meant to aid creativity. This wrong perception has led quite a few to chase the wrong things in life. Instead of chasing value, some people have been chasing money at all costs.
