Blackface has released his sixth studio album titled "The Defender".
The 16-track album features a range of acts from the old school acts like Azadus, Marvelous Benjy to new school artist Yung6ix.

" The Defender " is a sequel to “Ghetto Child” (2007),Evergreen (2007), “Jungle Fever, Me, Musiq and I” (2008), and “Dancehall Business”(2010).
The ex-Plantashun Boyz artiste in recent times has been trailed by controversies, surrounding copyright infringement issues – calling out his then former label mate 2face Idibia for not crediting him with the ‘African queen’ song and Wizkid for ‘Ojuelegba’.

He also called out radio DJs for favouring other artistes above others in terms of airplay amongst other issues .

In all of this he resolved to drop a body of work that has been due for a long time, and he has delivered.
