Mourinho Has Come To The End Of A Cycle – Drogba
Chelsea legend Didier Drogba says Chelsea are
having a bad start to the season because coach Jose Mourinho has come
to the end of a cycle.
According to the former Ivory Coast international, every cycle comes in three year and Mourinho, who returned to Chelsea in 2012 has completed a cycle.
He said in his autobiography titled ‘commitment': “I believe things often come in three-year cycles [and]
we had arrived at the end of such a cycle.
“By the start of the fourth [season] that José had been in charge, I think we had started to reach a point where it was sometimes harder for his message to get through. We wanted to hear it, we tried, but somehow we had lost a little bit of what made us special.”

The Chelsea legend has also revealed he could return to Chelsea but only to train with the club.
Drogba has just completed the MLS season with Montreal Impact though he couldn’t lead his team to the title. His 12 goals in 14 matches led to a semi-finals place in the play-offs.
He told French News Agency AFP: “To train? Why not? But it’s something I would need to discuss with [Montreal], because I belong to them. I signed a one-and-a-half year contract, I always like to respect what I have signed.
“Playing? I’m not too hot on that idea. I need to rest and make sure that I’m ready for the new season.”
Chelsea are currently 16th on the premier league table after twelve games. The team has eleven points and sit just three points above the relegation zone.
They welcome Norwich City to Stamford Bridge in their next premier league game.
