“Spider-Man: Homecoming” - A Sequel Is Already In The Works
According to Tom Holland, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures‘ are already talking about who should be the villain.
Filming of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" was recently concluded and a sequel is already in the works.
In an interview with WWD, Tom Holland who plays Peter Parker, said Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures‘ are already talking about who should be the villain.
"My next project, I can’t tell you about, but we’ve just finished ‘Spider-Man’ and we’re talking about the second one and who the villain is going to be and where we’re going,” Holland told WWD.
The upcoming Marvel superhero film also stars Marisa Tomei as "Aunt May," the adoptive mother of Peter Parker, Robert Downey Jnr as Iron Man Donald Clover, Abraham Attah, Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green, Kenneth Choi and Zendaya.
Directed by Jon Watts, the next Spider-Man film debuts in cinemas in IMAX and 3D on July 28, 2017. Sony Pictures will finance and release the next instalment of the $4 billion Spider-Man franchise.
"Spider-Man" is currently the most successful franchise in the history of Sony Pictures.
Holland made his debut as the superhero in "Captain America: Civil War."
