Nigerian Striker 'Obafemi Martins' Visits Demba Ba In Hospital

Martins took to his Instagram to share a photo taken when he visited Demba Bar in a hospital.

Nigerian striker, Obafemi Martins paid a visit to his Shanghai Shenhua teammate Demba Ba who is in the hospital after suffering a horrific leg break on Sunday, July, 17.

Ba suffered the injury during the Shanghai derby as he and SIPG captain Sun Xiang both raced for the ball in the second half.

The Senegalese striker has been in the hospital ever since where he has been receiving visits from most of his friends and teammates.  

Martins took to his Instagram to share a photo of his visit to the  former Chelsea striker.

“@Dembafoot... get well soon my brother,” the Nigerian wrote.

An X-ray his broken leg revealed that he will miss at least eight months of action. 

After sustaining the horrific leg break, the former Chelsea striker was reportedly injected with anaesthesia which made him sleep for four hours.

According to Bleacher Report, the first question the striker asked when he woke was ‘did we win the game’.

Ba has scored 17 goals in 21 games for Shenhua in 2016 and is the top scorer in the Chinese Super League.
