'Boko Haram Links Ruined Sheriff' - Ex-AIT Boss Says
Dokpesi said Ali Modu Sheriff has baggages from his past and might not be totally qualified to lead the Peoples Democratic Party.

The ex-DAAR Communications Plc Chairman, Raymond Dokpesi, has revealed that embattled factional Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff because of his alleged involvement with the Boko Haram sect.
The embattled AIT boss, who is also vying for the role of National Chairmanship of the opposition party reportedly said Ali Modu Sheriff was ousted because of his alleged links with the dreaded insurgents.

“Sheriff has a little bit of baggage because from where he came from, he is not supported. Boko Haram is a major reason our son, Goodluck Jonathan lost the last presidential election.
“So there was no need for us to bring somebody associated with Boko Haram to represent us if we wish to reclaim the presidency in 2019,” Dokpesi said.
Sheriff was sacked after the PDP’s National Convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on May 21, 2016, after which a National Caretaker Committee led by Sen. Ahmed Makarfi was inaugurated.
