Jason Derulo landed on the music with his hit song, 'Watchu Say' in October 2009 but it didn't take long before fans began comparing him to Chris Brown who already had two of his albums gone platinum. Almost 6years later, and great individual success and messy breakups, we want to check out the five things that make these two men similar.
1.) They are both black and successful
Going by birth, Chris Brown and Jason Derulo are both black and to top it all up, are very successful, thanks to their God-given talent -- Singing! While Brown basks in the euphoria of 8 successful albums including 'Royalty' released in 2015, Derulo trails behind with four album successes including 2015's 'Everything Is 4'.

2.) They are both great singers
Derulo and Brown can truly sing! In this era where "commercial" music is all some musicians make for the fast cash, these two manage to still do great music. Songs like 'Want To Want Me', 'Marry Me', 'Deuces', 'New Flame' and many others have really proved that these boys have vocals to die for.
3.) They have many tattoos
Looks like in the music industry, an artist without tattoos is not truly admired. Well, Breezy and Derulo have nothing to worry about because their bodies are covered! Both stars have not been shy about their inks as Brown's strange face tattoo on his neck have been linked to Rihanna's beaten face from their clash in 2009.
4.) They are both good dancers/performers
Chris brown is known for his incredible stunts on the dance floor but when Derulo showed up with his 'Ridin Solo' video in 2010, Brown had to get worried about sharing his spotlight. Since then, the competition has been nothing short of stiff between these two performers.

5.) They both underwent nasty public breakups
Who could ever forget Chris Brown's very public split from Rihanna in 2009? Brown reportedly assaulted his then girlfriend on the night on the Grammy Awards and his life has never been the same. Then in 2015, he was dumped on Twitter by next girlfriend, Karrueche Tran after she found out about his love child. As for Derulo, his five-year relationship with American Idol winner Jordin Sparks came to an end in 2014 after an alleged cheating scandal. He blamed in on the pressure of marriage while she called him a "coward."
