– President Buhari on a three-day visit to Kenya
– Buhari would attend a memorial service for Kenyan soldiers

President Muhammadu Buhari has left Abuja today, January 27 on a three-day official state visit to Kenya.
Buhari will join his host, President Uhuru Kenyatta and other dignitaries at a memorial service for Kenyan soldiers killed by Al-Shabaab militants in Somalia on January 15.
He will also attend bilateral talks in Nairobi on Thursday with Kenyan government officials led by President Kenyatta.
Both presidents will preside over a Kenya-Nigeria Business Forum in Nairobi.

Those accompanying Buhari to Kenya include the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finance, and Industry, Trade and Investment.
After his visit, the president will leave Kenya on Friday to Addis Ababa for the 26th Summit of African Union Heads of State and Government. He will participate in a meeting of the African Union’s Peace and Security Council before returning to Abuja on Sunday, January 31.
Kenya and Nigeria have signed several agreements in the past and Buhari’s visit is expected to strengthen several agreements signed previously and boost business interactions.
